In this letter, Khalilah Harris recommends that the Biden administration reestablish five White House initiatives housed in the Department of Education.

In this letter, Khalilah Harris, acting vice president for K-12 Education Policy at CAP, recommends that the Biden administration reestablish five White House initiatives formerly housed in the Department of Education. To ensure that the initiatives are functional and equipped to meet their goals, Harris also recommends the introduction of a deputy assistant secretary of equity and engagement, no less than a $350,000 budget, and specific staffing—including an executive director, deputy director, chief of staff, confidential assistant, and at least two analysts.
