Hai-Lam Phan is the senior director of creative on the Production team at American Progress. A University of California, Los Angeles graduate majoring in film and cinematography, Phan has been producing digital content for more than 10 years. He previously worked for National Geographic, Discovery, Disney, and Fremantle, and the videos that he produced have amassed more than 80 million views on YouTube and 100 million views on Facebook. Phan has also interned for Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) and volunteered at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, working on immigration and LGBT rights. Phan is originally from Los Angeles, California.
