Arnitta R. Holliman is the director on the Rights and Justice department’s Gun Violence Prevention team at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she served as the federal affairs director at Community Justice and as director of the Milwaukee Office of Violence Prevention, with experience in violence prevention and mental health. Holliman earned both a Master of Science degree in clinical psychology and Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in criminology and law studies from Marquette University. Holliman loves attending live music events and spending time with family, friends, and her shih poo, Champ.
