Project 2025: Exposing the Far-Right Assault on America

Please join the Center for American Progress for an event discussing the implications of Project 2025 for all Americans and the ways in which its policy proposals are already having an impact at the state level.

More than a year ago, the Heritage Foundation published its Mandate for Leadership, dubbed “Project 2025: Presidential Transition Project,” a 900-page document developed by a cadre of radical organizations and meant to serve as a road map for a far-right presidential administration. Its length and bureaucratic speak kept it out of the headlines for a year, but now, as 2025 looms closer, it’s critical to unpack what Project 2025’s policy proposals would actually mean for everyday Americans. The policies proposed in this document, which purport to overhaul the federal government, would in fact overhaul U.S. democracy and affect nearly everything from abortion rights to health care access to overtime pay and education.

The Center for American Progress is hosting an event to explore the very specific and draconian ways in which the Project 2025 authoritarian playbook would destroy our system of checks and balances and give far-right politicians, judges, and corporations more control over Americans’ lives. Experts will discuss how this radical policy agenda would target reproductive rights, labor, and civil rights, as well as how it would concentrate federal power in the presidency.

Please join the Center for American Progress for this half-day event discussing the implications of Project 2025 for all Americans and exploring the ways in which its policy proposals are already having an impact at the state level.
